Blackbox Solutions is enjoying the continued success of its IT operations, after launching the division just a year and a half ago. To cope with the high demand for IT solutions, Blackbox has hired a new IT Technician. 

Experienced IT consultant Martin Norton has joined the team. Martin spent 25 years as a Technical Analyst at HSBC where his duties included leading the IT team, providing technical support to HSBC’s trading floor and managing a team of network engineers.  

Martin will be responsible for installing hardware and software as well as offering on site and remote customer support. He brings with him valuable industry qualifications including being a Certified Network Cable Technician.  

Commenting on his new role, Martin said: “What stood out for me before joining the team was Blackbox’s outstanding customer service, as this is something I pride myself on. I am also excited to get the chance to broaden my skills within the telecoms sector and play a part in the company’s expansion plans.”  

To oversee the smooth running of the IT department at Blackbox Solutions, James August has been promoted to Senior IT Administrator.  

Colin Griffin, Managing Director of Blackbox Solutions, said: “We are steadily growing our information technology department which mirrors the healthy demand for our IT offer. We have a number of services including cloud-based solutions, VoIP telecommunications and data storage, so it was important we have the right team in place to deliver for our customers.”
