Production Technician at Blackbox Solutions, has recently completed a highly demanding production print training course with printer manufacturer Konica Minolta. This training is available to dealers who sell within the production print environment and is reserved for only the most experienced technicians.

Delivered by the Konica Minolta training academy, the qualification is a recognised industry standard that enables Paul to set up and maintain all aspects of Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS C1070 Digital Printing Press, as well as the associated EFI fiery print servers. As part of the qualification, Paul is also certified to maintain older Konica Minolta models and EFI systems.

Paul is the first technician at Blackbox Solutions and the only one in Kent to complete the Konica Minolta course. Paul said: “This training is a unique qualification as it enables Blackbox to supply Konica Minolta’s products without specialist support from the manufacturer’s in-house

technicians. Production print is very niche; it can be a very demanding environment where clients expect perfection and very quick response times so generally only the most experienced and well-established dealers offer this service.”

The intense training course required Paul to pass more than 30 online exams before qualifying for a five day practical course at Konica Minolta’s training academy in Birmingham.
