Blackbox Solutions recently attended a staff training day at Konica Minolta’s head office. With a range of new devices launched in recent months, Konica Minolta was keen to discuss features of its products with Blackbox Solutions’ technical teams.

Blackbox Solutions has been working with Konica Minolta for the past 18 months. Paul Kennaird, Solutions Architect at Blackbox Solutions, attended the training day, along with Directors Colin Griffin and Jonathan DeVito. Paul said: “Konica is one of the major players in the office solutions industry, so this was a valuable opportunity to learn more about its products and gain an insight into its place in the market. Konica’s machines have exceptional build quality, they are built for reliability and have excellent post sales support.”

The meeting was also a good opportunity to discuss software solutions, as Blackbox has recently partnered with Papercut, the market leader in print management solutions. The software can be installed on all of Konica’s devices, as well as the Samsung MFDs that Blackbox stocks, and helps businesses to reduce waste printing and encourage responsible print usage to reduce costs.

We’re delighted to announce that Paul Kennaird has also recently completed a highly demanding production print training course with printer manufacturer Konica Minolta. This training is available to dealers who sell within the production print environment and is reserved for only the most experienced technicians.

Delivered by the Konica Minolta training academy, the qualification is a recognised industry standard that enables Paul to set up and maintain all aspects of Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS C1070 Digital Printing Press, as well as the associated EFI fiery print servers. As part of the qualification, Paul is also certified to maintain older Konica Minolta models and EFI systems. The intense training course required Paul to pass more than 30 online exams before qualifying for a five day practical course at Konica Minolta’s training academy in Birmingham
